Ed Eadie

HHTB Trust Board Member & Auckland Regional Board Chair & Chair of the Hōhepa Auckland Finance Committee

Ed’s sister-in-law is a resident at Hōhepa Auckland, and he has been involved in the Hōhepa community for a number years. Ed is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Tāmata Hauhā, a New Zealand owned and operated company, established to help restore the land, its people and their prosperity. Ed’s career has focused on financial services, including work in auditing. Ed brings a set of skills that extends beyond commercial acumen and financial control, and includes leadership, strategic planning and implementation and stakeholder management

Board Anne Read

Anne has been part of the Hōhepa community for over 25 years, and is the sister-in-law of a resident of Hōhepa Auckland. From 2016 to 2021 Anne was the Chair of the Auckland Regional Board and has contributed significantly to the Hōhepa Auckland 10-year vision supporting the growth and development of Hōhepa Auckland into the future.

Anne works as a Registered Legal Executive in a boutique law firm in Takapuna and has 4 adult children – spread around the world. In her spare-time she loves to ride motorbikes with her husband travelling throughout New Zealand and enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Nick Kearns 1

Nick Kearns

Member and Chair of the Hōhepa Auckland Finance Committee

Nick joined the Hōhepa Auckland Board in early 2024 as one of the independent Board members and has been a member of the Risk Committee over that time. Nick currently works as the Associate Director of Research Operations, Ethics and Integrity at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland and has previously worked in disability support service roles for the New South Wales Government in Australia. Nick lives in Titirangi with his family.

I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to use his experience in governance and risk management to support the vision and mission of Hōhepa.

Judy Garriock

Member

Judy is a Registered General and Obstetric Nurse and completed an MBA with distinction. Judy’s background includes operating theatre and aged care nursing, project management, community service development, quality management, clinical leadership and executive level business and disability services management. Judy is seif-employed as a health and disability sector auditor, providing quality and clinical consulting services to the sector. Judy is a founding member of the NZ Disability Nurses Network, a member of the College of Mental Health Nurses and the Australasian Society of Intellectual Disability, and the Chairperson of Agape Homes Trust.

My passion is for the improvement of the health outcomes for people with disabilities with specific focus on Māori and Pacific peoples.

Pete Williams 1

Pete Williams

Born with spina bifida, Pete has had over 50 operations and was only given weeks to live at birth by his doctors. Now, Pete has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies from the Auckland University of Technology and has worked in the media, business operations and marketing both domestically and internationally. A keen snow skier, Pete relinquished his place on the 2002 Winter Paralympics in order to pursue his education. He then competed at the 2010 Winter Paralympics in the giant slalom and slalom events. Pete serves as a Justice of the Peace, sits on multiple boards, actively participates in various charities, and mentors fatherless boys as a Big Buddy.

Dave Brierley

Member

Dave Brierley is a Chartered Professional Engineer with extensive experience in project management and construction. He has led major transport and infrastructure projects across New Zealand, including the City Rail Link and SCIRT. His ability to manage teams, coordinate stakeholders, and oversee construction processes has given him strong governance and strategic planning skills.

Beyond his professional career, Dave is dedicated to community service. He is a Justice of the Peace and an active member of the Auckland School of Philosophy, where he contributes as a tutor and strategic planning advisor.

My passion for supporting people and fostering inclusive environments aligns with Hōhepa Auckland’s mission to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling and enriched lives.

Emma Ratcliff

General Manager & Member

Emma was appointed the General Manager for Hōhepa Auckland in October 2023.  

Emma is an occupational therapist with 20+ years working with adults and children who have sensory processing, coordination and learning challenges. Emma has worked alongside Waldorf schools for over 15 years and integrates anthroposophy into her occupational therapy practice.

Emma has been involved with professional development for Waldorf schools and early childhood education in Aotearoa New Zealand, China, Vietnam and Hong Kong. Emma has a keen interest in bridging the insights of anthroposophy with the practical aspects of day-to-day life.

Emma sat on the Auckland Regional Board 2020 – 2023 and gained valuable insight into Hohepa Auckland during this time. Emma is committed to developing Hohepa Auckland to continual service provision of a high standard. Emma fosters a sense of community, engagement and a life fully lived for all members of the Hohepa community.
